Only thing that can outdate Halo 3 is Halo reach as its clear that no matter how many "halo killers" other companies try to produce, they can't touch its gameplay or its features. Only improve the graphics...which really matter very little when it comes to multiplayer.

Even more people play modern warfare 2 and it's garbage.

Yet it is widely considered the best fps this gen and only the MW series can fight that.......thats some feat for a "dated" game.

OT - i'm not a halo guy but i know what you mean.  progress is awesome but sometimes you have to go back to an old game to really feel how much better games are now.  or you could just play any of the core-centric anti-motion focuses wii games.  you can really feel how developers are getting a lot more out of games then just shiny graphics this gen.

Yeah I feel the same. I havent tried Halo 3 again yet. But I know I would feel the same.
What I have done is play MW2 round my friends 2 days ago. It felt so crippled and unbalanced, almost strategyless in comparison to Reach. And to think that Reach will improve before release is blinding.

Bungie really have taken Reach to a new level.

Haha I have to agree with you. Halo Reach is so awesome in so many ways. The balance, the different pros and cons of the new abilities etc works out very well. I didn't think Halo Reach to become this good honestly.

According to Bungie I played 9 hours and 44 min in only 2 days*, that tells you how sick this game is. Bungie have outdone themselves.

* Played jus 3 or 4 games the first day until the server crashed. Played tuesday and thursday. Wednesday and today are reserved for my girlfriend.

Halo 3 has knocked MW2 off top spot on Live a few times since MW2 has been out. And I really dont think MW2 will ever be above Reach when Reach is released.

lol, I see that now...but when I posted it I really thought there was no room for trolls in here. I mean, I didn't compare Halo to a Ps3 shooter, I didn't say its the best FPS game on the market, I didnt say MW2 is garbage compared to halo...etc.
