The 360 is ahead on its own merits, just like the PS3 is selling well now on its own merits.

Personally i dont see how you think it is in last place, both the 360 and PS3 have great games and id say they are very close that way,but i prefer the PS3 exclusives since they arent mostly FPS exclusives, and im burnt out on JRPG's but i do like the xbox 360. Sales wise the PS3 is winning in every region except for NA, and for the total sales you have to account for the fact that the PS3 came out a full year later than the 360 and has sold more consoles per year than the xbox, so if they had been released in the same year i think they would be close. I think it would be interesting to see how the 360's failure rate and the huge cost of the PS3 would have come into play had they been released a t the same time, maybe both companies would have issued early price drops, either way i believe both consoles are neck and neck right now with their futures depending on the online multiplayer games they can push out in the next two years, that will determine who is a failure.

As for current gen ( PLEASE STOP with the wii isn't current gen, it's just the res SD to HD but play some games that are downgraded and you don't much difference except res)

this gen is almost finish and they will be announcing their new HW a year and half away, so tell me something I was expecting PS3 to actually destroy the 360 once, MGS4 .. I mean GOW3.. i mean let's wait for GT5?

But honestly this gen isn't like the last, and we must give props to MS for not getting swept by Sony. The real surprise is Nintendo, I remember the internet was a blaze when the PSP was announced. "the DS is doomed"... Time has gone by and it's still alive and kicking.The wii might not have the support that the HD brothers have but after playing MH3 it just shows that you can make it on the wii and it will sell ( PLEASE ADVERTISE). I rarely play the PS3 as I only love Valkary Chronicles and I'm waiting on a really good Jrpg, one that isn't on the 360 already.

Fanboys that have an alliance to one system or any systems is fine but try and not ruin it for others,I am a fan to developers/games. Capcom since Mega man 2 to present time with MH3, I do still remember the little guys like SunSoft with their NES games ( memories), but clearly Nintendo needs to bring Starfox, FZero,EARTHBOUND!!!!!! The rise in sales of the PS3 makes it highly likely it won't finish last this generation.

But with that aside, Its not the sales that matter honestly, any smart fanboy(who am I kidding that's an oxymoron) would tell you that its the games that matter most.

And lately I have seen some awesome AAA games on PS3, Not to say 360 and Wii haven't had any. It's just that I see a brighter future for the PS3, IMO.

I do need help, just noticed I have a PC tower running my everyday apps, Laptop XPS running my pc games, and my homes consoles running on my plasma... And I have a full time gf that lives with me, time isn't on my side... to much to play...

The only thing PS3 fanboys can cheer is that the PS3 is recovering its situation, thanks to the SLIM.

Check my games owned list and try again. My PS3 is my primary system. I love it to death. I didnt ask for any reason other than understanding. But I imagine responses like this are part of the problem.

Why wouldnt I believe you? I have no allegiances here (although I did join the PS3 supporter list that CGI made, still waiting on my banner Cross.....) I simply asked because quite honestly, I am kinda put off by it. For instance, I was reading Selnor's Alan Wake graphics thread. He humbly took his lumps about an incorrect prediction, and next thing you know it was "PS3 fanboys run this site blah blah blah." I have seen this in at least 20 threads in the last month.

Im not saying it is or isnt true. Im just trying to get to the truth of the matter. And even if it is, was there not a time when other "factions" dominated the site? What did they all run away because Sony fans started to fight back?
