I think everyone agrees that fanboyism for any console is annoying. I don't even believe that sony fanboys are worst than nintendo or microsoft fanboys it's just that sony fanboys overwhelm with their sheer numbers.

You can ignore the few random microsoft and nintendo fanboy posters that sprout up talking ridiculousness but sony fanboys seem to work in packs and hit you with wave after wave of nonsense and that's what makes it annoying at least to me.

Jump to this gen, and everything is switched. The Wii is crushing all comers, and the 360 is smacking Sony around in NA. Yet PS3 fans talk as if its the single most important gaming related creation ever. I think this really bothers, or annoys, a lot of people. Can anyone confirm this for me? Or tell me I am very stupid if thats the case? I just want to understand why everything that goes wrong on this board is blamed on Sony fans/fanboys. Are they the cause of every thread derailment? Are they the only ones trolling? The only ones creating threads designed to start trouble? I just want to make sense of what I am reading.

i think your missing the point.

wii is selling more than ps3, but ps3 has better games and is a better console.

if you prefer better sales fair enough, most on here prefer better games.

the best console is the one that gives the gamer the best games and best features, games are kinda comparable on ps360 and features wise ps3 is better, but i think overall ps3 will have the better games this gen.

judging from your post your obviously a little hurt!

Your question is like asking, "Ubuntu fans think is better than windows when Windows is kicking its ass around, why do people install Ubuntu then?". Substitute Ubuntu with PS3 and windows with the x360 (wii is like google, is winning and is great). This analogy applies to all microsoft products, and their open source competitors. So i am just glad sony is not out of the gaming industry and that is still with the "hardcore" market competing against MS.

but the funny fact is, PS3 is OUTSELLING 360 for the past 8 months, and the only reason 360 is ahead right now, is because of 1 year headstart. its pathetic

as a fan of the green bay packers i find fans of the vikings and bears to be extremely annoying...and i wouldn't have it any other way. cheering for my team wouldn't be much fun if there was no one to brag or taunt to.

half the fun of hanging out in these forums is to argue with wii/360 fans. if we didn't fight (mind you in a civil way) i probably wouldn't come back to this site.

I agree, The only reason the xbox is beating the PS3 is because of the 1 year head start it had.  That does NOT make the xbox the superior console by any means.   The 360 only has 2 things going for it now:  Better FPS titles and it's slightly cheaper, in ALL other areas the PS3 is superior.

i think the whole thing boils down to one point:

"The PS3 is not as easy to troll as it used to be!"

One side of the console war has gathered a lot more confidence in their product and "won't take that b******t any longer from anyone" while the other side is not used to that yet and interprets this as them "getting more annoying by the minute"

and no, i don't think any site is better on a emotional level.
