it's all about the games.

yeah the gamecube didnt sell that well.
but with metroid prime 1 and 2, windwaker, eternal darkness it had some games i enjoyed more than most of the games i played on the ps2. (i own all the 3 consoles of last and current gen, so i'm only looking at the games).
metroid prime 1 is worth buying a gamecube (or a wii with the collection)

Sony fanboys are colossal slopdongs. However there are people here who blame everything on them and never point a finger at their own group. Hence the cycle of internet nerd wars continue.

Jump to this gen, and everything is switched. The Wii is crushing all comers, and the 360 is smacking Sony around in NA. Yet PS3 fans talk as if its the single most important gaming related creation ever. I think this really bothers, or annoys, a lot of people. Can anyone confirm this for me? Or tell me I am very stupid if thats the case? I just want to understand why everything that goes wrong on this board is blamed on Sony fans/fanboys. Are they the cause of every thread derailment? Are they the only ones trolling? The only ones creating threads designed to start trouble? I just want to make sense of what I am reading.

i think your missing the point.

wii is selling more than ps3, but ps3 has better games and is a better console.

if you prefer better sales fair enough, most on here prefer better games.

the best console is the one that gives the gamer the best games and best features, games are kinda comparable on ps360 and features wise ps3 is better, but i think overall ps3 will have the better games this gen.

you get a console to play the games not to support or because it sold a lot.

Dumbest comment i have ever heard! Everyone has different tastes and enjoy different games so to generalise everybody is idiotic!

Anyway Jerzee Balla, I think you raise a good point but there's no point even getting involved. If hating on every console except their favourite makes them happy, well let the baby have its bottle and the rest of us can enjoy games from all platforms!

Yes the PS3 sucks.

Now the Xbox 360 sucks too because it shares 95% similarity with the PS3.

Suddenly the Wii is only have the console it used to be and reverts to being a Gamecube and crappy sales.

Then the DS folds because noone cares about it.

The PSP gets the pity vote.

The PC is that other guy with the crazy ideas and the bad vibe.

Oh and I almost forgot about the iPay range. Its very rare that purchase decisions which are
"none of their fucking business" get so much scrutiny.

I personally don't see anything wrong with being enthusiastic for a console that's in 3rd place/ has the lowest sales / failed to reach it's sales expectations. Having "the sales" decide who is "right" and who is "wrong" in being happy with their console of choice is just very sad.

To me the PS3 represents the best gaming and media services package this gen, but I do accept, that this is my personal opinion/taste and by no means "the ultimate truth". Unfortunately some people (and those are in every consoles fanbase) can't accept that. I won't go around attacking the other consoles, which all without a doubt offer a rich gaming experience this gen, and I think lowly of everyone who does.

Finding peace in the gaming community is like obtaining world peace... it's not going to happen. There are too many opposing opinions; having conflict is a necessity. Your opinion is the one that matters the most, so just form one and then stick with it. It's asking too much for everybody to be with you on the some note.

That's relevant to the question, isn't it?
