Shipment has been a problem, but I don't think it will over take the 360 in America even if shipment is stablized. At best we can hope that the PS3 continues to sell evenly with the 360 in order to minimalize the damage in NA. Most likely it will make up the better part of the difference in the European territories. Eitherway it will be a very close race.

I don't understand, if shipment was up'ed how will the PS3 only be selling on par with 360 in america? I mean I know it will take a while before it could ever pass it but if more systems are being sold with such a very high demand for them(Gamestop has PS3 now at Wii status from a year ago, super impossible to find) then it should gain more ground.

So far numbers (according to this site) have shown that when there is ample supply of the console that the PS3 is only marginally outselling in NA (I think the most might have been 5K but I don't feel like researching that right now.) Yes it was heavily outselling last holiday season, but I am basing that assumption (heavy assumption) on what sales have looked like as of late when there are PS3 well stocked in the country. That's not to say that I could be wrong and I would be incredbily happy if I were. I am just making a prediction that is realistic based on numbers so far this year. If you care to prove me wrong feel free.

I'm a XBOX360 fanboy, and I think PS3 fanboys are annoying, so what? Are you going to "kill yourself" or something?

I hate all the threads they are always starting "look at this AWESOME game, only on PS3" "developers don't care about the XBO360" "XBOX360 is dead" "the cell is faster and better than anything on earth" "bla bla bla bla" "PSN is better than LIVE", etc.....

If any of this woul be true the Wii would not be in first place followed by the XBOX360, and if the games and online were that good PS3 fans should be playing online instead of looking at forums waiting for the next FF.

Its difficult to judge a platform by its sales.
Why is it that the WII is selling so much out there? Why oh Why? Its not about the graphics, or the online, it is because, I thing, its one unique feature that made it different from the rest: Motion Controls, mass appeal.

For example, the Iphone is the fastest selling smartphone out there (dont have proof, but I am personally pretty sure about this) and its not the best of all. It doesnt have the best camera, the best GPS, the best web browser, the best storage device and so on, but it has done something unique: It perfectly introduced the first and one of the best touchscreens out there.

 

So, I think judging by sales its not the best, specially in consoles.

I personally think all three consoles deserve the position the have right know. the PS3 hase been catching up the last years and making great software, and the Xbox360 is continuosly innovating nd upgrading its online communitty.

So My opinion is subjective and dosen't count. Me and the 20m+ other people that bought Mario Kart Wii have "subjective" opinions. But your best argument is metacritic? Are you for real? Because some hardcore critic gives a Wii game a 70 or and 80 then its not as good as some PS3 game that happened to get a 90? I guess they are not opinions right? They dont have agenda's? Or failing that they can put there personal tastes aside and be totally nuetral? I call bullshit on that.

I don't agree with reviews at all anymore. And to show you this isen't an attack on the PS3, but some of there fans and reviewers in general, I'm in the middle of White Knight Chronicles and I'm loving that game to death. Sorry to burst anyones bubble but metacritic is broken and don't mean shit to me and a lot of others. I have very diffrent opinions on games. But then again my opinons, and all Wii owners it seems, don't count. Well its the only one that counts to me.

The PS3 is special to us fans because it can stand toe to toe with the winner this GEN game wise, something very difficult to achieve. I had to have the PS1, PS2, NES, SNES , BUT I don't have to buy the Wii this Gen and I can still get the big games.

That's really all personal taste, I know a number of people that never owned the lead platform, often times getting their big games as well, they didn't care fo the exclusives for the other platform so why buy it?

So basically what you're saying is the console is special because you like it, just like every other successful console ever be it that gens winner or not, hell many people still loved the dreamcast long after it died a horrible death and they had pretty special games too... just saying!
