I will tell two things and am out of this thread

1. If you honestly have been reading the forum posts recently, it's the winning consoles fanbase that was creating the most problems

2. With a 1.5 year late start, the ps3 is the one that is kicking the the butt of it's HD competition as of now, which is now hoping for the slim version and Natal to be their savior or something (which I might add, might as well be)

So yeah that's all..I own a ps3 but I play on the box and wii as well, the reason why I don't own them tho is because I absolutely am satisfied with the gaming line up from SOny, some brilliant variety and quality in gaming from them, especially last year and this

So it's opinion, the only reason why ppl whine about ps3 fanboys being the worst is because most of the time these days, ps3 seem to have the best games imo....and ppl r kinda hurt and it shows, some recent graphical and review threads should help anyone see this. Heck when ps3 fans try to help the situation even then those ppl got angry, friggin hilarious I tell ya :D so yeah that's my two cents, cheers

I generally don't care about the PS3, the fanatic sony fans seem to be disconnected to reality and very hypocritical imo. But it doesn't bother me, at least not any more. Its entertaining, and quite funny now.

The thing I find funny is that they echo to Wii fans the same sorta stuff they get pist at the xbox fans saying about them lol. Its all just theater as far as I'm concerned.

I think PS3 fans act out because 360 fans love to tout how much better there console is than ours. Especially when it comes to sales in NA and software; however, what I believe people tend to over look is that since the PS3 was released it has outsold the 360 year after year. Furthermore, that nice first year gap is dwindling and people are getting excited.

In regards to the Wii sales is not a topic a MS or Sony fan boy wants to discuss since it will end badly. So all Wii bashing either comes into it being dubbed a last gen console since it doesn't support HD and its online gaming is run worse than the PS2's was. Those that don't go that route usually refer to the shovel ware or waggle fests often over looking the gems on the system.

So here is what it comes down to Sony hates Microsoft because it doesn't have XBL or a game with Halo 3 sales. Sony and Microsoft hate Wii for killing them in sales and because neither of them could ever have a game with sales like Wii Play. Microsoft and Nintendo hate Sony because they have Blu-ray and they don't. So as you can see there is a lot of hate in the world of video games because when some tells you that you spent your 500 dollars wrong you want to tell them to fuck themselves.

I find that the pride and the outspokenness of a console's fans is usually inverse proportional to how well the console is actually performing. This is because they have the most to defend and the most to damage control. This gen it happens to be the PS3, and this is amplified even more by the fact that the PS3 cost so much as launch, and has only recently been axed to a more decent price. The more the price of a product is, the more emotionally involved a consumer becomes with the product, because they must convince themselves and others that they made the right choice investing $600 on the PS3. They must convince themselves and other that their console is really "the best" despite performing the worst.

It was similar last gen, though to a lesser extent. The Gamecube and Xbox fanboys were the most rabbid and usually battled eachother while the PS2 fanboys were usually quiet and subdued, sitting back and laughing as the Xbox and Cube fanboys ripped into eachother. (I know because I was heavilly involved in this fight). The PS2 fans didn't really need damage control because the sales and the games spoke for themselves. At least that's what I picked up from my experience anyway..

i think its more that people dont realize the wii has won or dont consider it part of the race because its not HD.

well the wii did win and it won without HD so suck it up

I think 360 sales are higher mainly because people bought multiple 360's...it's only 150-200 to replace if you buy an arcade 360 which was a genius move by microsoft who probably anticipated the 360's breaking and knew they needed to offer a cheaper replacement model

also the ps3 was not competitively priced when it release and was tough to develop for which lead to buggy games and slow sales.

but now the ps3 is competitively priced, a much better buy to the consumer and i feel it has more lasting power than the 360 will.

blu ray sales will play a factor too in the next few years to come

@ OP, I think many in this thread only bolstered your position, yes there are some Nintendo faboys...and the three I can think of off the top of my head are unbearably stupid, but the rest are pretty tame. And yes there are some 360 fanboys once again the four I can think of can be pretty unbearable at times, but the worst fanboys (because there are so many of them) are the PS3 fanboys because they don't have a rational bone in their bodies. I'm sure it seems like I am a 360 fanboy because I defend it a lot...but if you really look at my posting history, I have been a defender of all three consoles at different times. There is just so much more opportunity to defend the 360 because of the sheer numbers of pittiful attempts to troll the 360 made by the PS3 fanboys.
