Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Zelda Wii missing from Nintendo's western 2010 release schedule

The forthcoming Legend Of Zelda Wii game is missing from Nintendo's latest US and UK release schedule.

Nintendo Japan unveiled their latest schedules for all regions at the end of its latest Financial Results Briefing document and while The Legend Of Zelda (Temp) appears on the Japanese schedule with a TBA launch date it is completely missing from the Europe and US schedules, prompting fears that it may not come out this year after all.

Of course we'll learn more at this year's E3 games show when Nintendo will show off Link's new adventure. Zelda legend Eiji Aonuma told ONM to expect surprises from Zelda at E3. Could the surprise be that it's not coming out until 2011?

Well we knew nothing about New super mario bros. Wii until E3 and then it released 6 months later. I'm hoping the same for Zelda Wii.

Zelda Wii 'll be launched before the end of 2010 in the West for sure (US and Europe).
After Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid Other M Nintendo 'll need a big Game for the Xmas season, so I'm sure 'll be the next installment of the Zelda series.

;)

This isn't news, I mean Kirby Wii has been on the Japanese release schedule for years but nothing has come of it..

This was going to be my response.

It's probably not on there because we won't be getting it until 2011, and they're readying Tingle RPG 2 for release as this year's big Q4 title.

I really doubt Nintendo would do something THAT stupid. Releasing the game first and only (for this year) to the market it'll sell and be apreciated the least?

I think that the Legend of Zelda is going to launch in the United States first like Metroid other M is doing and it's going to be the big holiday title for people in the US and UK. Japan is going to get the title later but their big holiday title is going to be the Last Story.

maybe they're trying to create some suspense.. but as long as i get to see that beauty at E3, i can wait. i'll just spend all summer replaying all my other zelda titles.

*sigh*

but seriously, if i get all the way to E3 and hear that it isnt being released til next year, i'd probably burst into tears or something. :(

i don't think not being on the release schedule means anything. I mean, they haven't officially announced the title yet and this isn't the way to do it for such a big title.

..i still don't think it's going to release this year, however. march-may 2011 is my best guess.
