"Sales for Nintendo Co.'s Wii are up while sales for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 are down at auction site Ebay.

In the latest sales data for the site, Wii sales have increased one percent over the past two weeks to rank as the No. 1 most popular video game system at the site. Wii carries an average sale price of $367.01. (147% of retail)

Xbox 360 premium sales are down seven percent in the same period to rank at No. 2. It carries an average selling price of $345.99. (87% or retail)

The PS3 incurred a five percent decrease in sales to rank as the third most popular video game hardware. It holds an average sale price of $583.24. (97% of retail) ..."

Wow. I really thought the Wii's price gauging on Ebay would have subsided by now. But, if you look on Ebay even the accesories are more than retail by a decent margin. Looks like Wii is still a great profit maker for resellers.

I am actually really surprised at how the Wii is still sold out 6 months after launch

Also in the strongest PS3 market, UK PS3 prices are still falling. Last week they were around £380 and now the going price seems to be around £360. If you get a bundle, it's even cheaper. Wii's are still going for above retail price.
