Forums - Gaming Discussion - Wii Third Party Games Between April-July!

Would now be the best time for third party to get really good sales on Wii since Nintendo has one major release for the next 4-5 months (unconfirmed if anything is coming in August)!

Yes it will...

And with 'No more heroes', 'Manhunt 2' and Spiderman on the way it seems like a pretty good line-up from 3th parties. I'm surely gonna buy No more heroes... If it is coming in Europe in this summer.

THE NETHERLANDS

Are there any types of release dates for those? (I know Spider-man 3 will be on May 4)

In that time line these are the games that have a set release date:

You have Poke'mon, but it's just a shell for the DS's D&P game, then you have Mario Party 8, Big Brain Academy, and Paper Mario (that's the one big release in my opinion)!

Sadly the only 3rd party that interests me on that list is Alien Syndrome (Sega's been doing a great job on the Wii IMO).  Might look into the PotC game, MMR, and RE4 but my interest level isn't too high.

On the other hand I doubt I'll pick up those 1st party games, either, outside of Super Paper Mario (obviously).  They're all pretty much "maybes" until I see some reviews or get my fiancee interested in playing Mario Party. :P

Honestly I haven't even heard of most of those games but they look like shovelware to me.

Hold on now, I recall Mario Party having a confirmed release date of May 29th or so a few weeks ago, when did that change?

Edit : I'll be getting Super Paper Mario and Mario Party 8 definitely, MAYBE Big Brain Academy. :)

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Sadly nothing there seems to make me want to buy one of those games. :(

Too bad that most of those titles are on other platforms, have more-anticipated counterparts that are on other platforms, or are titles that no one cares about.

i cant wait for spider man 3 for the wii. its gonna be SWEET!!! the last spider man game was great with its free rome and the swinging style for the wii (barring it was uber too short and too repetative helping people). times that great swinging style by a 1000 and thats how sweet itll be for the wii. the wiimote nunchuck combo will make it so you are practically spider man. (im sure ill forget at times...    )

A delayed game is good someday, a bad game is bad forever.

what a shocker

anyway, (A)super paper mario, (B)mercury meltdown revolution (can't resist at only $29.99) and (C) Resident Evil 4 Wiimake (also can't resist at $29.99) are definite buys, especially since A)I loved the first two paper mario games B) I love the pick-up-and-play super monkey ball type games especially when they are budget priced and C) budget priced RE4 since I never got the game when it was released on PS2/GCN and it is budget priced.
