So MW2 holds the record for the most people on at once. But not everyone purchased MW2 for online play.

Everyone must have a gold account to play Reach Beta. Also, its free for anyone who bought ODST. I also presume many people have access even if they didn't purchase ODST.

So do you think it'll break a record for the most people on at once?

It will be the biggest Beta of all time since the current record holder is Halo 3 but I doubt it will have more people on in the first 24 hours than MW2.

Well bungie expect there to be around 2 million people playing the beta when it comes out. But who knows. I don't know if it could surpass MW2 records, but it will take over the number 1 spot for the most played xbox live game. for the 2+ weeks its out.

yup pretty much what everyone else said. This will crush any Beta records on the 360 but probably not as many people on as MW2's first week. Though once the actual game comes out it will break that record.
