halo reach isnt exactly pushing the graphics bar, ive seen tons of hd footage and it looks better than halo 3 but not better than the current technical monsters, crysis 2 looks great but wont surpass current ps3 exclusives, any major gaming site says the same thing it looks good and its up there with the best of the best on console.

what happens when uncharted 3 comes out or killzone 3 or the last guardian, i highly doubt a middle ware engine will surpass first party polish

Brink? No.

Rage and Crysis 2? Yes.

Rage and Crysis 2 on PC yes, on consoles... I seriously doubt it. PC developers are known for the way they treat hw requirements, in other words:

You can't run it now? Like the fuck we care, wait 3 years for new hardware.

So my faith in them optimizing their games for consoles, which are both very different, is really really low. I don't believe that either Rage or Crysis 2 on consoles will be better than first party games from studios that have both experience and resources focused on their exclusive platform.

I think that beeing the best looking game on Xbox currently isn't such an impressive feat, since the current "best looking" game is now 2 years old.

What people have to remember about the games that we are talking about above from a tech standpoint is there layout.
Remeber both kz2 uncharted and gow3 are very stright games pritty much you are set on the path and no wondering off it just like cod or games like that.
Rage is a open ended world so for it to look as good as it does is a great job done by the devs.
Crysis 2 is also a very open game so the fact that is as good visually(maybe better maybe a little worse) as the best this gen from the ps3 exclusives which are all linear games is a great achivment by the devs.

brink does not look better than kllzone 2 , stop talking out of ignorance, just look at the effects in brink the smoke looks average, the bullet holes look average , the character models look average , the lighting is average, the backrounds are average everything about brink is a a wicked sense of art style not tehnical graphics. killzone 2 will be on par with crysis 2 on console , killzone 3 will look better than both

and brink doesn't look as good as KZ2 either.. so idk where you coming from, clearly you haven't even played kz2.
