GT was shown a gameplay demo and they were beyond impressed by it. What they say is that the game adds a layer of realism to it that it makes it seem more of what you would expect in a CGI cutscene than in gameplay.

Spears: "Well.. it does look good.. really good.. we saw it running on the 360, and it is a step up for 360 from anything you have seen"

Shane compares it to Avatar because it adds that layer, that other CGI movies don't have.. spears then says it's that little layer that makes it look a little more real than you'd expect.  Then the ps3 was thrown in

Shane: "Is it the best looking console game you've ever seen? Even better tahn PS3 exclusives?"

Spears: "Hard to tell.. it's definately impressive, and Im sure it will be in the running"

Shane: "its in that league you'd say?

Saw the episode last night. I really want to see all 3 versions, very interesting to see if Crytek will beat the other ps3 exclusives and the original crysis (at least on pc)

Mabey crytek will couch Microsofts studios on how to make sweet graphics, or if its good as claimed sony might need some schooling too. Doubt so on the latter part, but who really knows now.

I doubt it wont look better than REACH, if it indeed does look better than anything on the 360 thus far.

I expect good things from Crysis 2, killzone 2 level visuals at the least.

This won't bode well for some people. Hate to call him out after the shitstorm of a AW thread he made...but I think the agenda behind selnor hyping Crysis 2 is only because he's just waiting for something to hit the 360 that looks better than PS3 exclusives...and even now the developer of Crysis 2 is saying he's unsure about that.

OT: Good to see they're pushing the 360. I know most believe the "since it's built on the PC, it should translate to the 360 easily" theory, and I say something of Crysis level should've been made for the consoles a while ago

Reach won't look better than it, mainly because Halo games are very oriented on local multiplayer and that makes it much harder to push really heavy graphics.

Crytek may achieve that feat... then again, they may not. Let me see footage!

Another game that will tip the scale will be RAGE.

These games will surpass what's currently on any console.

I expect Killzone3 to top everything.

While I am excited for all the games shown above.  I think you may be a bit mistake on what makes killzone graphics great.  Textures although grey scaled are amazing.  The way bodys react to bullets.  But the biggest details are the small ones, sunlight- no game has ever had interactive sunlight ( you can find it hard to see if you hit the light righ)t.  Weather effects- paper blowing, sand swelling, debry falling.  Explosions, bullets cooling after hitting walls, best explosions of any game.  No other game on a console has matched or even came close to this imo.  Crysis 2 hopefully will,  but as for rage- watch the actual gameplay, it is no better than a current cod.
