Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What are your favorite VC & WW games or How Many Wii Points Cards Do I Need

Bought:

Helix (or whatever, the dance game... for the GF she used it a couple times and liked it)
Bomberman (no comments needed I hope)
Zombie Panic (forgot the name but it's the zombie on rails shooter, haven't played it yet though)

I bought a total of 6K point and have 3K left (Ogre Battle 64, Paper Mario and River City Rancoon have already their name one these).

I've started playing Metroid (NES) recently (on my actual NES, not VC) and am loving it. I had gotten pretty far, but already I am finding things I don't remember having last time. I already have the ice beam and screw attack...weird.

Anyways, after I grasped the basic concept of what the game wants me to do (bomb all floors, shoot all walls, make a map, collect energy as I go) it became a lot of fun.

I really like Metroid Zero mission and I beat it a couple of months ago on my gba and gamecube's gba player. After beating Zero Mission though I tried to play the classic version and I haven't gotten as far into it yet.

Are they about the same?

Metroid Zero Mission retells and adds a bit more to the story of the first Metroid game. It's much more cinematic and probably not as difficult as the original. It looks as good, and maybe better, as Super Metroid on your tv if you have a gamecube and the cube's gameboy player attachment.

If you live in the UK (possibly elsewhere, not sure on the situation) I would advise you to buy the points with a credit card through the shop channel itself if possible.... because that way you can buy them for £7 per 1000. In stores they only sell "nintendo points" now.... which you can use on Wii AND DS... but if like me you only have the Wii, paying £10 for 1000 is annoying.

Anyhow, I can't say I have enjoyed the VC hugely, but I am just not interested in playing old 2D games much, at least not the ones i have tried so far. However:

F-Zero X was worth it - fast paced futuristic racer - 1000 points
Super Mario 64 - 1000 points
Legend of Zelda: Majora'sMask - 1000 points.

That's all I can reccomend, though I have spent a decent bit of time on Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros. Lost Levels

Wiiware is much more interesting, to me at least.

World of Goo - 1500 points
Swords & Soldiers - 1000 points
Dr. Mario - 1000 points
Lost Winds - 1000 points
Lost Winds 2 - 1000 points
Phoenix Wright - 1000 points
Toki Tori - 900 points

secret of mana for vc (800 points) would be my main recommendation as it's excellent.
