Everyone will have their own view, but from what's been shown of Alan Wake I think it'll be a fun action thriller, but I doubt the majority of horror game fans will view it as being more genuinely unsettling than the best Silent Hill titles.  Alan Wake just looks too Western actiony and obvious to me.

Should be fun though - but I haven't seen anything that looks truly unsettling about it yet.

Everyone in this thread needs to calm down and relax. Who can blame Selnor for gettig excited about upcoming games? Don't we all? People have been attacking him WAY too hard for simply stating his opinion that he thinks this is a GOTY candidate and even provided a sweet trailer for us to watch. I swear some people need to just grow up and learn how to discuss games without freaking out and attacking others because of their opinions.

-Valve is going Multi-platform
=Left4Dead 3 and Portal 2 will be on PS3

-BioWare is going Multi-platform
=Mass Effect 3 and All games forward will be on PS3

-EpicGames is going Multi-platform
=All games after Gears3 will be on PS3

-Now Bungie is going Multi-platform
=All Bungie games after Reach will be on PS3

(Why do you have to try so hard to defend 360, even though you don't say it, that is your thought! I mean there are better things to do in your life then just defend your prefered piece of hardware, till your last breath? I wouldn't be suprised if you are just a 15 year old! We all now that you really want a PS3, so why don't you just buy one and enjoy exclusive content from all platforms like normal gamers do!)

I can't be bothered to play any games at the moment cause I'm just deperate to play this one. I'm still trying to complete Infamous but not feeling it. I think Alan Wake is to blame.

Selnor maybe be a fanboy of the 360 but why don't you admit the same for the PS3? Some of what you said isn't even fact just hopes and rumours.
