Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which Reviews Do You Trust Most?

I only trust myself when it comes to choosing a game. I read the summaries of every critic on metacritic but don't value the opinion of one site more than others. I just take in all the information and make my decision, I rarely make a bad choice.

I trust IGN and Gametrailers, it seems we share the same tastes, and the written reviews and video reviews are complete and spoilers free.

Least would be GameInformer, Xplay and Giant Bomb.

I trust mosly IGN and Game Informer.

I don't trust any Sony fanboy website, like playstationlifestyle or anything which has PS in the name.

I don't trust 360 fanboy websites / magazines either, the worst being Edge (see http://edgevsmeta.blogspot.com/2010/03/edge-vs-metacritic-does-games-platform.html for their bias) and Kotaku. Eurogamer too.

Famitsu.

Seriously, Eurogamer and Edge.

I don't trust Kantor's reviews because he's Kantor.

Vgchartz, Gametrailers and Edge mostly.

I don't really trust Gamespot and IGN have had their share of weird ass reviews pluss they give way too many high scores imo. The amount of high scoring games this gen is ludicrous, 8 is the new average now.

my own >_>

I would say that Gametrailers and Gameinformer are tied for the two I trust the most. Both of them do an excellent job for the most part.

I like IGN and Eurogamer. The reviews from them are pretty well written.

IGN and the Classic Game Room HD videos, that guy's always finds something positive about a game and he even made Golden Axe: Beast Rider sound fun.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Same here.  I tend to agree with the majority of their reviews, and they seem very fair.
