Will Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 on the horizon, should Sony stick with Resistance as their holiday seller and leave killzone to clean up. Or should they switch them and let killzone be an amazing seller for the holidays. Resistance 1 was my favorite 1st person shooter till Killzone 2. Resistance 2 didn't live up to the hype. They took away split screen coop- big reason why I enjoyed the first so much. Also what would you like to see in killzone 3?- please do not say generic controls- thats you noobs unable to hande realistic and weighted controls. change is good people.

There is absolutely no way Killzone 3 is coming out this year, Resistance 3 however stands a chance of coming out this year.

@yo_john117 i'll admit that with sonys track record that the odds are against it. But with the engine already completed and with guerrilla games claiming it to be far into development stage it is definitely possible. Hell it would be a year and 9 months after killzone 2, doesn't halo and call of duty (infinity ward) have their sequels done in that time.- or at least damn close. This would help this game see sells it deserves.

I think if they could get KZ3 done in time it would probably be a better holiday seller, but I would rather they polish it and take their time than rush a release. So, I voted for R3. I actually liked Resistance 2 a lot, but I agree with you, they shouldn't have removed the 2 player split screen co-op. My friend playing that with me at my house is what convinced him to buy a PS3. Also I think R1 told a better story, but I liked the controls of R2 better.

As far as what I'd like to see in KZ3, I'd like them to keep everything about KZ2 and just make it on that much more of an epic scale. KZ2 was excellent, no need to change what ain't broken, just add more boss fights and "WOW" moments.

I want killzone 3 more, resistance 2 was a bit of a letdown for me, so unless they go bak to the formula used in resistance 1 then I will be more interested

I fail to understand why R2 is so hated. I loved that game, and I never even finished the first Resistance. The controls were good, the guns were great, and the story was great if you read all the intel and piece everything together.

Anyway, R3 should get the push as it will have been 2 years since R2 meaning its probably ready. I doubt KZ3 will be ready by holidays. Take the extra time to make it the best it can be. If I had my way, neither one would come out this year. But that's just me.

And it would give more time to make KZ3 more polished. Anything less than 2 years is tough on a developer.

Insomniac, they are able to produce a quality game every year.

I believe they have multiple studios, one that works on Ratchet games,  the other that works on Resistance games.  I think they even have a third they opened up recently as well.  Guerilla Games only has 1 studio.
