Legs will make or break this game. I strongly believe word of mouth will help, A LOT.

Declan said: This has been advertised more than any Wii game I can remember in the UK - yesterday nearly every ad break I saw featured it (often followed by one for Wii Fit+). Actually a bit surprised it didn't debut higher, given that. |
Just Dance and probably every "Wii ___" series game I've seen advertised more than MHTri so far.
Dunno how it is in the UK, but in the US I'd say MH3 has had similar levels of advertising and most big Capcom HD projects (DMC4, RE5, SF4, Bionic Commando, Dark Void). Impressive, and a first for Wii really, but not exactly out of the ordinary compared to HD games.
Capcom's biggest promoted game here this gen was easily Lost Planet 1, though that had $20 advertising cash infusion from Microsoft directly.
Well from what I can tell this maybe the most successful MH Home console game yet. If that's the case I'm sure Capcom will be ecstatic and found the Wii very much worth it. I doubt it will touch MHF2G though. That game is a monster.
Though I won't hold my breath. Hey though I never bought a MH game before MHFU and Tri so Capcom & Nintendo must be doing something right if I bought 2 MH games in less than a month period of time.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
heh, good start i suppose;
like someone said above considering the ads, (it's not that i expect it to but) i was hoping it'd be a little higher
let's hope for incredibly, outrageously huge legs! LOL
hey, i can't seem to see any numbers..
am i just missing it?
how does the chart translate in terms of games sold?
Yes it has opened well in the UK, but I kinda expected it to do well in the area. But I actually had expected it to do well in the entire region over there so I hope this shows signs of it doing well in the other regions such as France and Germany. Although I'm still not entirely sure on the scope of the release in Europe, but I was assuming most of the larger countries gaming market share wise. But for the European non-UK residents, do yall know which countries it came out in?
Just goes to show what happens when a third party releases a AAA quality game with a AAA quality marketing push for a Wii title. Makes you wonder how much better Red Steel 2 would have done if it had also had a AAA marketing push.
