I enjoyed it a lot. I do like RE5 but main problem is atmosphere.

RE has to take place at night.

Why do people say this?  Its the most empty argument against RE5.

Lets look at past RE games.

RE0 - Takes place at night but 85% of the game is spent inside a mansion, chemical plant or lab where it is well lit in most rooms.

RE1/REmake - Takes place at night but 99% of the game is spent inside the mansion or guardhouse or sewer or lab where it is well lit in most rooms.

RE2 - Takes place at night but 99% of the game is spent inside the RPD or the sewers or the lab where it is well lit.

RE3 - The first part of the game is actually daytime, it turns to night later on but this also has a lot of indoor areas (though a lot more outdoor areas than previous games), most people cannot even tell the difference when the game switches to night, or that it was even day to start.

RE: CV - This starts off at night but later turns to daytime (in Antartica), also has many indoor areas where it is well lit.

RE4 - Starts off daytime then later turns to night, has many indoor areas in castles, caves, more castles, more caves and so on...where it is well lit.  Does have quite a lot of outdoor areas though is always well lit.

RE5 - Starts off daytime and turns to night later, then day again and later night again, lots of outdoor areas but like other games it has caves and ruins and lab areas that are all set indoors where it is well lit.

So what exactly is the need for being at night? What did RE5 do differently aside from the very sunny first chapter?  If you made every RE game daytime for the entire game most of the games would not have any notable difference at all since you are never in a position to be able to tell and where you are is well lit (like if it was daytime).

I dont care if you think this argument is empty. I thought that in the minute I saw the first Screenshots.

RE4 starts at daytime but its a cloudy dark day. RE5 is 10 seconds at night. First time I played it I thought yes its actually  beginnig to be dark. But after killing the boss its daytime again. And its just so not Residentevil like.

Without the Zombies I go on Holidays to this places. Its not seeing the night all the time even though you are in builings you know its dark ness around you you are alone and helpless. But in RE5 there is too much happening the sun is shining. Its not about experiencing the night itself its about building up an intense atmosphere of darkness and isolation.

There is just one reason why they made it at daytime even though they say different reasons. They jut wanted to show their impressive graphics. And its true the graphics are impressive.

Also no shoking elements everything is so slow you actually gona know whats happen. I cant help me but I am not nearly as satisfied as I was after playing RE4 its easy as that. I cant name the points why exactly something is just missing I think its the setting which doesnt fit well imo.
