What will happen if Monster Hunter tri is a sucess?

Good things will happen :) 123 69.49%

Bad things will happen :( 7 3.95%

I don't want it to be a sucess..... 4 2.26%

I want this on PS3! 8 4.52%

Would've sold better on PS3...... 22 12.43%

Who cares? Wii has the best 3rd party support 13 7.34%

Total:177

i dont really think it will change much, Wii has had enough of decent selling 3rd party games, its just that developers have made up their mind about the console. They have a different strategy i dont mind it. As long as Wii gets decent 3rd party titles like No More Heroes, MH Tri or Tatsunoko

I dont think it will change much in the minds of other 3rd parties, but it will lead to more support from Capcom. How could it not? We'll probably see more major titles from them.

Throw me in with the pile of people who think nothing will change.

If I were a third party publisher, I might be concerned that so many potential customers had such low expectations from me. But then I'd just shrug and stay the course.

monster hunter isnt really that big of a game. i dont think much will happen according to the questions that OP asked.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Well this franchise has such a huge following in Japan that Capcom would be foolish not to continue developing further games. That is irrespective of Tri performance in the West

If i remember correctly, in an interview with Edge a few months back, a producer on the game said that it is is the company's plans to try and replicate the success of the game here in the west and that Tri is just one of the first stages of this plan.

The game being succesfull will just secure a higher marketing budget for a future version and better terms in any deals  Capcom negotiates whith  future potential publishers, distribution  and retail partners.

Thats it i believe.

btw i think 100 - 130k in U.S. and 30-70k in Europe (first week) for lifetime sales of 2 million

If the game sells well in NA(which it won't, because it's a niche NA game) then Capcom will likely reconsider some of it's classic titles for Wii.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Some people here expect so much, I'm pretty sure no one will jump on wii. I was just asking on how people view the wii or how nintendo does more of this stuff

(killeryoshis note - Who put that there ?)
Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

Biggest pikmin fan on VGchartz I won from a voting poll

Good answer.

I would really like to see this one and DQ become much larger franchises here in the west.
