It does my heart proud to see Sega and Nintendo see success together. 3 games with Sonic have sold over a million and one of those is Sega's most successful game of all time. Rivals turned buddies. *sniff* It's a beautiful thing.

"Is it going to be as big as the Teen or Mature market that exists on the Xbox 360 or PS3 platforms? Certainly not. Is it viable, because the cost of development on the Wii is significantly less than those other platforms? Then, potentially the answer is yes."

I lol'd

I foresee another meltdown when Tournament of Legends bombs, that game has zero appeal.

do you really expect anything else?

On a related note, I'm surprised they didn't make a Mario & Sonic at World Cup 2010 in South Africa...

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Any console that makes you money should make you proud.

Tournament of Legends won't help his faith..........
but at least he acknowledges the Wii is still viable.

of course it is! third party publishers just haft to find the sweetspot.

Well, i have bought almost every "mature" game from Sega for the Wii, but it is too difficult to find the games.

I think Sega is doing a bad ditribution.

MY ZELDA COLLECTION

I really don't get the publication of Tournament of Legends, this game should have been scrapped a long time ago. Even in its previous incarnation as the M-rated Gladiator AD (that people now look longingly at), hardly anyone cared about that game while most were foaming at the mouth for The Grinder. Sega must have gotten that one for free or something, because frankly, any cent they waste on this one will go down the drain.

The only thing that bothers me is that regardless of every Wii gamer on this planet predicting its failure beforehand (because of the game, not the platform), this game will be used as the latest example of 3rd party "core" games failing on the Wii because the audience supposedly not being there (actually, worse, the gaming sites will now write that Sega first tried M rated games and failed, and now here's final proof that even the T rated ones don't work...). Urgh.

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Let's keep in mind that these games are not Sega games. They are produced by other developers and only published. I'm sure Sega is happy enough to publish games that will make money even if it's not multi million sellers.

Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
