Before you even started this thread two things should have been obvious.

1)The x360 worshippers will say yes.

2)The PS3 church will say no.

You should then have asked yourself what is the point of the thread.

That's what I think d21lewis was trying to get across.

Maybe you thought that the balanced, non-bias posters would enlighten you.

I think MOST of those would avoid this thread like a Paris Hilton's "I cooked it all myself" dinner.

EDIT: I forgot to give my opinion since I bothered to post.

I would ideally like to wait, play the the game and make a judgement. All seems to point to it being the best looking x360 game.

If it is then it took the x360 5yrs to get to this. There can be far more impressive games on the way as far as x360 is concerned. PS3 is younger so that should also improve even further. It is to early to say what will rule this gen in terms of graphics.

And I respectfully significantly disagree with Leo. ;)

Crysis is still number one... it certainlly does shadow and light in a very nice way

i'm going to go with no as good as it looks ME2 still is the best looking 360 game to date.

So the question is will it be best graphics ever this gen on console? No. Will it ever? Probably not. Sure Crytek has yet to show us real HD in game graphics of Crysis 2 console versions, I still firmly believe it'll have best graphics on console.

But then again, each year different games are referred to as "Best Graphics Ever" by reviewers.

You look back at 2008 and you hear Metal Gear Solid 4 as best looking console game as well as best PS3 Graphics and Gears of War 2 getting praised for easily best looking X360. Then you come to 2009 and see Uncharted 2 blow every game out of the water and recieve universal acclaim for it's Best Graphics Ever and Best PS3 Graphics (and GOTYs ^^). And now you look at 2010 now where titles like God of War III, Mass Effect 2 have already recieved many claims as One of the Best and soon you'll probably hear reviewers praising Alan Wake as best X360 Graphics and even as Best Graphics ever. And further down the track of 2010 you'll hear Gran Turismo 5 best graphics or Crysis 2 best graphics ever so it continually changes.
