Even the dreamcast controller which is considered one of the worst controller of all time had a Dpad better than any console since (or before if you don't count Sega consoles).

UGH, bite your tongue! Sega almost deserved to go down for that thumb shredding abortion.  Fuck, that D-pad sucked! ;_;

How can I mod  a Saturn pad for my 360 though?  The Fightpads are kinda meh/ugly, and I need a better solution for SSF4 (and now MVC3!)...

lol...damn, I didn't realize that people hated the Dreamcast dpad so much. I hated it cause it bent outwards which I found really unconfortable...

There are many guides and ways to mod a saturn controller to work with 360. Most of them require you to have some skill when it comes to circuits and electric mumbo jumbo.

However this is the method I used:

I found one of these on ebay (for 150 bucks damn it) http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-m-49-en-70-imb.html

And then I bought one of these: http://www.gocybershop.ca/customer/product.php?productid=2137&cat=272&page=1

Surprisingly it works really good. I mean sure, I yell FUCKING LAG! every time I lose in street fighter...but who doesnt?:)

I may just have to do one of those home mods, because PS2 Saturn pads are like an endangered species today.

I still don't get why Sega/ASCII just doesn't do a 360 Saturn pad?  Especially with SFIV and XBLA being so big, it'd be a HUGE seller. :/

Its cause that would make them money. Whens the last time Sega did something that made them money?

Also, the good news is that ebay was full of PC saturn pads a year ago or so...I bought 2 for 29.99. Seems like a knock off, but still 95% as good as the real thing. And the good news is because these are USB PC controllers...they work with PS3. Go figure...

Thanks, Red XIII! Someone posted the video last night but once again, I was unable to view it. Once again, you have come through for me!! You're quickly becoming one of my favorite posters AND one of my favorite FFVII characters!

Now, is it just me or are those Capcom characters horribly overmatched in every single one of those battles?

Well I don't know about Ironman vs Morrigan (never played Darkstalkers), but the Hulk and Wolverine are basically indestructable in the Marvel world.  So yes, I would say that both a) the Capcom characters are overmatched and b) comic book characters can be ridiculous at times.

For example, apparently Wolverine has survived being in the center of an atomic explosion, and the Hulk has smashed an asteroid.

Thanos could wipe both of them out of existance if he wanted, Juggernaut is completely invulnerable, more so then Hulk, and if they include Thor, which they should, he's a god.

Wolverine's recent writing has made him nigh on invincible because lazy writers don't know how to write a story about him that isn't him either killing someone or him getting badly hurt and recovering. The blast you are reffering to I think is after Civil War when he fights Nitro, a guy who is a Captain Mar-vell enemy (as in out of Wolverine's league as a guy who just murder's people to win). In it Nitro explodes and reduces Wolverine to nigh on anything but his 'healing' factor helps him recover. Of course it seems writers have forgotten that healing does not mean regeneration. As far as I always understood it (until recent years) it's like human body just extremely fast and good at healing. This has been ignored though to make him 'cool' since the movies, which has decharacterised him into a murderer and not heroic in comparison to any hero in the Marvel Universe....bar Deadpool.

You can kill him by removing his head from the rest of his body, skeleton might be unbreakable but tendons holding skeleton together are not.

And both Hulk and Wolverine can be knocked out.

I agree with everything you said, Fury.  I read a ton of Wolverine stories but when I went back and read that story where Nitro blew him up into nothing but a skeleton and he was back up and fighting 30 seconds later, I said fuck this.  Never read another Wolverine story since.

I love Marvel and the X-men but when I used to like Wolverine, his characterisation is nothing like it was back when Claremont wrote him. He's a cash cow now and that's all he's good for.

Hmm, pie.

Add Dante and characters from Onimusha would be nice. If they added the main girl from Dino Crisis i'd be shocked and would take it as a hint that a Dino Crisis 4 will be in the works.

I hope this time the gameplay will be more skilled and less flashy flashy and button mashing unlike MvC2.

thumbs up for it, its bout time capcom release MVC3

chris redfield vs hulk something not right there

Might be good, but frankly I found Marvel vs Capcom 2 had many different problems and led to just playing as specific characters. Worse than almost any other fighter.

I understand it has a cult following, but I hope its sequel fixes some of the main issues the previous game had. In other words, I hope its more balanced.

That said, I'm glad to see Iron Man is back. Hopefully Bonny Hood and Strider will return for the Capcom side, but I doubt it as they're rather minor characters in Capcom. And BB Hood probably won't fit in this gritty style they have going.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

O know this is a little off topic but since we are on Marvel. Does anyone else think there was no need for an Iron Man sequel? I mean we all waited 10+ years for this game but already a new Iron Man. C'mon! I'm hating this Super Hero movie trend that seems to never end (Damn you Spider Man) lol. Would be fine if the movies were all top notch and not quick cash-ins

FootballFan - "GT has never been bigger than Halo. Now do a comparison between the two attach ratios and watch GT get stomped by Halo. Reach will sell 5 million more than GT5. Quote me on it."

*fanboy scream*

Probably not if they hurried up the Thor/Cap A/Avengers movies but they needed something to fill the gap.

And I'd personally blame X-men as that came first.

Hmm, pie.
