It is fitting that the man responsible for the series I am currently addicted to (Fire Emblem) won though I fought bravely for poor Tezuka.

Four of my five favourite developers all place in the top 4. ^_^

The other one was disqualified before the game started.

For the record, I love the work that Will Wright does/has done, but I don't see it as best-developer-ever worthy. But he IS in my top ten, for sure. I think I've sank more hours into Sim City 2000 than any other game ever, period.

you have got to be uber-hardcore(or a super nerd ) to know 5% of these fuckers on this list.

If it was non-Japanese, I'd basically only be interested in Will Wright, Alexei Pajitnov, and Eric Chahi, and Eric Chahi only made one game. Luckily for him it's the best game ever.
