Forums - Microsoft Discussion - “Natal is challenging because it’s so different,” says Molyneux

It’s very, very different to any input other mechanism the world has even seen before because there isn’t any buttons and that’s both its strength and its big challenge. So when you’ve got a game like Fable, there is an enormous number of things we can do with Natal.”

I think that Mr. Molyneux didn't make the right choice of words to describe why natal is "very, very different to any other mechanism"...

The eyetoy couldn't make a geometry model of your body and use it in a game. It worked in a completely different way.

well natal can't do that well either, and in the end we have seen videos of ps3 eye/ eyetoy doing full motion controls without it.

Wow xon, when did you get to test Natal out? you've seen the early E3 lineup too?

Until E3 you (and everyone else) really have no idea what your talking about, you can guess and make stuff up all you want but at E3 you could be eating humble pie, remember that...

it's a technlogy limitation, it fails to see fingers, there is certain lag and lack of feedback.

Ban him this is trolling

Actually, it is disagreeing, not trolling.

Mr M is infact incorrect when he says "It’s very, very different to any input other mechanism the world has even seen before because there isn’t any buttons"

All Iphone, several DSiware games, Eyetoy games, power glove games, lots of Wii games - He may still have a point, but he is still incorrect.

There's lag with all forms of input devices, feedback can be added through peripheral devices such as the 360 pad and even though people who are working on the device have said it can track fingers you still choose to not believe that.

Another fair and unbiased comment from you.

he only says that because he never worked on the EyeToy.

Yeah, because the Eyetoy has done full body motion capture all this time so Mr. M doesn't know what he is talking about. Look at all the games that were made for the Eyetoy up to this point that does everything that Natal will do and do it perfectly.

You know, I don't think he "knows" what he's talking about. Because in the recent years, he has become nothing more than a puppet for MS, breaking multiple so-called "promises" to gamers, been over-hyping most of his releases and basically "lied" about including many features. He even misled gamers during the smoke and mirrors Milo presentation during the last E3. If someone ask me to think of an obnoxious, bullshit talking developer in the industry, Molyneux (and that guy from Turn10) will be the first that pop into my mind.

You know, I don't care about his "lies" and all, because I don't buy his games and never will. But Molyneux + Truth are two words that don't belong together.

Did any one watch the gadget show on channel five the other day, they had this fighting game for natal on it, it was awful.

I seriously doubt it was a Natal game.  I haven't heard anything about it.
