Forums - General Discussion - Movie you like that you didn't know was a remake?

For the most part I don't like movie remakes, that being said I just found out this week that "Man on Fire" from 2004 which I like a lot was a remake of a 1986 movie with the same name.  What is a movie you like that you didn't know was a remake the first time you watched it?

Oh, the Karate Kid is going to suck balls.

That is all.

I knew that one was a remake but didn't know that they also remade it as a TV movie untill I did some further research.  I also agree with you about the new Karate Kid movie even though I like most Jackie Chan movies.

The Amityville Horror, didn't know it was a remake until after I looked up the story.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Age isn't stopping Sylvester Stallone, but I think it would be better for Jackie Chan to move towards more comedy and less action movies.

We all know Sylvester Stallone is juiced up if you know what I mean. lol

The first time that I saw the Magnificent Seven, I didn't realize that it was a remake of Seven Samurai.

Both movies are fantastic, by the way. I give a slight edge to Seven Samurai though.

Also, I'll repeat what d21lewis said. The Karate Kid is going to suck balls.
