So we finally have the NPD numbers for God of War 3 - 1.1 million 

God of War 3 launch was 32% bigger than the God of War 2 launch

I think it goes to show that even if a system does have a smaller user base, when the game gets more attention, it can sell mroe.

So with that in mind - how much do you think Gran Turismo 5 is going to sell on it opening week or month? I know it probably the most common thread around here, but after we saw how God of War 3 did, we have more knowledge

We are talking worldwide numbers here

Things you should consider

1. Gran Turismo 5 will probably have the biggest marketing campaign of any PS3 game ever in all regions

2. The game will probably come out in the holiday season - the PS3 user base will be much bigger by then

3. It probably going to be the most heavily bundled PS3 game ever

4. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue had 1 million pre orders in PAL territories according to Sony

5. It the first release of a full Gran Turismo game on the PS3

It'll do more than 5 - 6 million

First month? O_o

I seriously doubt that.
Gran Turismo is huge, but not that huge.

Gran Turismo 5 can sell anywhere between 10 to 15 million
Are you guys saying it can sell more than half of it LTD in the opening month?

As 5-6 million is the max you got this poll going to i voted for that as it will easily pass that figure. Just how long it takes to do it is another thing. The GT series has always had great legs.

I don't expect it to sell like FPS games in the first week but it will have the highest selling first week sales for any of the racers on the HD twins this whole generation imo.

Agreed it will probably do GT3 A-SPEC numbers lifetime.
