Forums - General Discussion - Finding people in buildings - Need help!

Hey guys, I'm working on a project about optimizing escape routes in buildings, and my group and I need a method for finding out where people are, and so far we have talked cameras and motion sensors, but I was wondering if anyone here had any other suggestions. Price doesn't matter, it just needs to be available to the public.

Cameras.

Or maybe sensors on the ceiling of every room, I don't know if that's actually possible, but it sounds cool.

Glass walls

Thermal imaging cameras.

Pay everyone to spy on someone else and be ready to report.

And this one takes care of a school:

Attach a rope to every person you want to track, when wanting to find them, simply follow the rope

Nanomachines?

Oh wait. . .

What about RFID tags in people and a scan in every room on timed intervals that could identify and count all the people in the buidling?

Or how about haveing a scanner on doorways that tracks the id's coming in and out.
