I found the system to post a news story to be a bit confusing. I didn't know that it was a two step process of creating a title and short description followed by a second form to enter the actual story and create the link to the source. Can you put everything in one form or provide some instructions for users who haven't posted a news story before?
Additionally, I don't think the ranking system gets enough use to warrant that being the only thing that controls what stories go on the main page. It looks like we don't have any new stories though I posted one about Nintendo's sales this morning.
Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.
