umm... different companies. Adobe doesnt make Office, thats Microsoft.
I saw a video demonstrating Photoshop's new content aware fill feature. Sorcery.
And I think Kenoid's point was that the Office suite isn't adding killer new features anymore like Creative Suite is. I don't think I've ever used a feature in Word that wasn't available in version 5.

Content Aware Fill looks amazing, my mind was absolutely blown the first time I saw it. That alone warrants CS5, I haven't even seen what else might be worth upgrading for

easiest thing is to say is the new paint brush. That will add a new twist to the art behind graphic design.
The AE rotobrush looks amazing. Though I have a hard time seeing that it'd be that accurate.
The photoshop content aware fill looks great too.
However I wont be using premiere, I'll be sticking with final cut pro for editing.

ya, im also pleasently pleased with that new piece of tech Flash Catalyst. I suck at flash so flash with no coding is a lot of win for people like me. I could see an increase in flash on websites though with this. I hope the net is ready for this round of flash sites.

true I think it's adobe's way of countering HTML5 making it easier to create content rich flash sites quickly without coding.

I disagree. If you only use Word and Excel, it will look the same, however Outlook has the ribbon now and has added some pretty nice email features. Additionally, Access has some sweet new features that allow you to create a program that runs through web browser. Searching in Word is finally awesome. Files from the internet are opened in protected mode to allow you to see if it's safe before you fully open it. And on top of that it is introducing a free online version of office which ties in with the desktop version.
Office XP and 2003 were more cosmetic jobs. 2007 was awesome, 2010 is looking sorta awesome.
On the OP, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it then. Which programs in particular are amazing?
