I have a 50'' Plasma display, and my Wii looks fantastic on it. Because its slightly "less sharp" than a LCD (less noticeable distinct pixels), you get a great blending effect - and the lower resolution is much less noticeable.

Its also a cheap Plasma - mine cost under $2000AU (Soniq - a Chinese brand), and I'm overall very impressed with it.

My friend has an expensive LCD set, and the Wii looks significantly worse on his set IMO.

Great advice shams, many thanks for that.  Finally got the 50 inch Plasma and the Wii looks great with it.....cannot understand why some people diss the graphics but there you go....maybe I am not sophisticated enough to appreciate this 1080 stuff or whatever it is.  But as long as Wii Sports looks good on my TV then I am not bothered. 

Going back to my other topic, I see some people here are not his biggest fans.  But all of my non-gamer family and friends who try out the Wii express some or all of the sentiments that John Lucas expresses in his eloquent posts. Derivations of his comments are all I kept hearing over Christmas from people who previously thought games consoles were for serial killers but could not put my Wii down.  And that ability to understand the common man (and increasingly woman) makes him the genius that he is.

I've played Wii on a 42" LCD TV without composite cables and it looked terrible. It looks alot better on my 'fat-screen' 32".
I'm going to buy a TV in a near future so I maybe check in this thread then :)

Lucas is too far-fetched for me and I am a Nintendo Whore.

On Topic: Just get a standard 27-inch 4:3 ratio Television like normal people! Don't spend those hard earned euro's on a new TV!
