Im sure the Wii online network (or lack of it) is issue 701... just a few more years and Iwata will resolve it.

Why does Nintendo need more than they have?

Maybe for the Wii they don't need more...but they will for the next system. I mean, anyone that has experienced XBL or PSN must have issues with the Wii network. I can't even bring myself to play T vs C knowing that there little to none matchmaking, no voice chat, I can't find people that are good and add them as freinds to play later, insane lag...etc

He means sales-wise, under which case i would agree with him. I agree with you as well that Nintendo's online experience is sadly lacking, and that from the personal perspective's of many they certainly *need* to do more, but where has that contributed to a loss of sales on their part? When you see Nintendo games with great online (MKWii) poor online (Brawl), and no online at all (NSMBWii) all push the 10 million boundary regardless, what kind of message does that send Nintendo?

Online is incidental. That's what *they* see from their perspective on their games.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Yeah, you're right. I wish I could see the industry from the eyes of Nintendo management. I really do... they really know their market well and know what will appeal and what they can get away with.

Did anyone even complain that NSMB doesn't have online coop? If a game came out on xbox like this without online it would be banished to hell. I know that I made some noise on these forums when Punch out came out and didn't have online...but there weren't may of us. :)

Oh, there were plenty of complaints, but as a lot of it was used as an excuse to bash Nintendo in general (like IGN did), it lost credibility.

But for those still insisting it would have helped the game, I stand by that including online would have taken more time, and they needed a big game for the holidays after the lost momentum. So perhaps the next game might, if they find a way to get around lag.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

You have those problems too, thought it was just me

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Good. Just because they are on top doesn't mean they can sit back and relax. They should always be trying to improve.
