Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Super Mario Wii World

Okay spoiler alert for those who have not fnished World 8 please turn away now.

Being now a very casual gamer I had not played Mario Bros Wii for several months because I got to World 7 and it was proving too difficult for me and couldn't be bothered.  Yesterday I decided to go back and finish it. I did this which you would know unlocks World 9.  However, to play the levels there you need to get all the star coins for each world.  Well being a casual gamer there is no way on earth I am going to do that, even for World 1, let alone 7 and 8.

My question is there any other way?  Please tell me there is.  I badly want to play these new levels.

no, you will eat your vegetables and like them.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

I am only aware of doing it legit.

Man up and start looking for those coins. Honestly, most of them aren't that hard to get.

You could try downloading a gamesave off the net (gamefaqs may have one).   But you're best off doing it yourself anyway.  It really makes you appreciate the game more.

Also how awesome was the Bowser fight?  I was bricking myself!

Come on, it is really not that difficult! World 1 is definitely easy to do, and after that you get the taste of it and how fun it is collecting these coins. You have to think that you don't need to get all these coins at once, you can get one and finish the level and do so for all three.

Currently Playing: Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

Last Game beaten: The Rub Rabbits(DS)

My advice is to get a friend and play with them. That way, when one of you dies, you don't go back to the beginning of the level and you just carry on.

As long as you both don't die at the same time and end up both on zero lives (easily avoidable), you can't lose.

2-player or more is much easier than 1-player in this way.

You can use gamefaqs to find out where the coins are hidden (and how to get them) which can save a lot of time searching if you really want to. Getting the star coins is fun in and of itself (though some of them are annoying and frustrating) and will improve your skill at the game enough to have more fun with world 9.

Cooperative game is easier and more fun, get a friend to play the game. Look for hint movies and walkthroughs on Youtube if you'll have problems with locating Star Coins.
