I'm interested more about the second part of this rumor I'm all for a Breath of Fire compilation. Although I own Breath of Fire 1&2 for the GBA I never finished either game if this compilation comes out I buy it and finally finish 1&2.

VP sold 700k on PS1 according to VGChartz 9600k or so coming from Japan and only 70k in the US) and VP2 sold 390k according to VGChartz without US or Others numbers.

VP sells MAJORITY of it's copies in Japan, not the US and not in Others.


Making this game exclusive and/or Timed Exclusive to the lowest selling console in Japan is a big time mistake. It will once again shrink the fanbase and probably hurt our chances at a future title.

Problem here is that Valkyrie Profile sells like crap in the US and a lot of that had to do with VP shipping out such a low amount of copies here.

I still have my PS1 copy along with the guide and trust me when I say that having one, especially both is very very rare.

Square thinks for a minute.... : sales = money.. so we want sales.. but if they want to pay us for the money we would make anyway for sales....

think about it. sure they want to sell their game. but they only want to sell it to make money. if someone were to pay them the money they were going to make anyway from sales, why not? it's a hell of a lot better too coz the money is going to be there before development, so essentially square has nothing to lose.

Exactly, VP is way to niche to be on a single platform, maybe even to niche to be multiplat, without the kind of financial backing that MS gives them.

So, I much prefer that the 360 will have a timed exclusive for a game i'd like to play in the future, rather than the game not existing at all.



Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

SE and MS seem to like being in the same bed, I foresee SE being at MS' press conference and I still think v13 has a chance of going Multi.

Well FFXIII has shown S-E that JRPG's should be multiplat. (to be fair FF has many mainstream gamers)

On the other hand these niche JRPG's sell very well on PS3

SO I dunno why they are doing this.

In Japan say bye bye to sales.....Star Ocean as a franchise lost like around half of its fan base (compared to SO3 sales) worldwide due to this staggered PS360 release they did with it

And this franchise isn't big to start with, what a silly move.

if VP3 is 360 exclusive,I am sure it would sell like crap in the us and japan.So,i think it's Probably on PS3 and 360.
