You made the right decision stopping after CoD4. It looks like CoD4 will have been the peak of quality for the call of duty series.

I'd say CoD 1 was the peak.

CoD1>CoD4>CoD2>CoD: WaW=CoD: MW2>CoD3

 

Just my two cents.

 

(Not including spin-offs such as Finest Hour, Big Red One, and Roads to Victory).

I never played the real CoD1, only Finest Hour. I would assume it was good though!

i don't get the Waw hate - i think it was the best Call of Duty game since Call of Duty 1.

Never Played COD1 but i liked WAW and i personally thought COD4 was the best cod game as it was something new for me as that was my first fps
