First week: miss

Lifetime: hit

I think it has a big chance of being a game families play together over x-mas, boosting interest in the wii again, and spreads through word of mouth.

Assuming it's as good fun as all the previews seem to suggest. The fact almost everyone who's played with it thinks it will be a hit should mean somthing.

I think at first it will be a miss, cause we don't even know is this will make you loose a lot a weight, then when the people who bought this it says that it works, then you will see sales go up by then....

I believe johnlucas could be right, except that supply probably won't allow for that. My knowledge of the Japanese market is very reduced though...

Japan is into this huge Touch/Motion Generation frenzy and Wii Fit should find it easy to hit atleast, 500K first week and 1.5-2M Lifetime on the Wii.

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

May have a Nintendogs effect of selling forever or miss, don't think it'll be a hit in the wake of SMG and the overall Wii sales in Japan. I think it'll hit two or three million lifetime but I don't think it'll do massive first week sales or really move hardware.
