He's comparing it to wii fit. Something tells me in the U.S the only people that will buy wii fit are the hardcore ninty fans.

 Exactly.  And as I just proved in my last post, economically its hard to think it wouldn't.  Not to mention Wii Fit has been one of Nintendo's most marketed games out there.  And just it sharing a brandname with Wii Sports and Wii Play will cause it to sell.

 

It may not have huge openers like that of Halo but it will sell a lot in Japan.

No as a Sony fanboy tha's just what you want to happen.  Economicly this makes no sense given the scenarios.  Unless you have something that could possibly back this up.  Which I doubt.

This type of game has Japan written all over it, it will be huge over there and everywhere else where people want to get it to exercise, I know that my mom wants it. I'm guessing about 500,000 opening week with over 2.5 million there overall.

Wouldn't be surprised that if in a few years we start talking about a game having "good legs", this is the number one game they will refer to.

Supermario128 is right, this game was made for japan and, to a certain extent,
the U.S. Hopefully it'll drive up Wii sales as well.

Anybody know what else is coming out along Wii Fit??? Layton, no? Anything else?

HIT -- It fits the market.

How much it will sell elsewhere is unknown. But it is the type of game that will appeal to the casual person as well as the new health rehab/senior market. Which may mean a lot more non-traditional sales than would have otherwise been predicted.
