So the Famitsu experts reckon that Wii Fit will sell between 1.5 and 2.5 million copies in Japan.

These are the same guys that said Mario Galaxy will sell between 1 and 2 million, and we all know that ain't happening...

So yeah, simple - Hit or Miss?

For various reasons, there is no way this is going to be the beast that Nintendo want it to be. 

I think it is going to sell quite well, but more than 1 million?  I don't think so. 

To be honest, I think it is going to struggle to reach 500,000 by the end of the year, and the 'legs' aren't going to be that good either.

I expect that it will sell 200k for first week. And not affect wii sales at all.

I reckon its going to do well in the long-run 2-3 mill WW. But i dont think its going to break opening records or even get 400k 1st week.

In japan I don't know, but if it get bundled with great mini games will hit...

Not expecting more than 250k first week.

Wii Sports- over 2 million sold
Wii Play- about 1.7 million sold.

Both still sell at about a 30-50% ratio to hardware sells with the Wii.

Wii Fit- has same brandname title as Wii Sports and Wii Play. Meaning it would be really really hard for it not to sell well. Maybe not like a huge opening week but it will sell a lot for long periods of time. This isn't like Super Mario Galaxy where the title before it, over 5 years ago only sold 880k some odd. This series/brand has 2 titles still out in it selling really well and consistent and will continue to do it.

It'll be a hit. Will it drive up Wii sales? probably. By how much? Who knows.

mario will sell between 1 and 2 million. its already halfway there in 3 weeks and the holidays are coming up, plus mario always has great legs.

 Aren't we supposed to talk about Wii Fit?
