God of War III – The mystery of the platinum trophy, a hint to further content?

If you have already finished God of War III with 100% and earned the platinum trophy you might know that it reveals a link to a yet to be defined Homepage (http://www.godofwar.com/spartansstandtall/). There you will find a symbol on the right upper corner which seems to be some kind of a compass. A user of psinsider.de discovered (http://www.ps3insider.de/?section=news&newsid=5092) that the exact same symbol can be found in God of War II when Kratos kills his assistant whom he sent to Sparta earlier in the game. You can find the scene here at youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcxQnTEM51o ) starting at 6:33 min. and the symbol can be seen on his buckler at 7:51 min.

Since there have been announcements by SCE Santa Monica that there won´t be a direct sequel to the God of War trilogy but the opportunity for further content or spinoffs we are pretty agitated about this finding which probably yields some information about a potential protagonist of a further God of War title without Kratos in it. Have fun discussing this incident and even more fun beating GoW III!

I'm not sure what your post actually says, but I agree 100% with whatever it is.

If you finish GoW III and earn the platinum trophy you will get a link to the homepage described above and in the upper right corner of this homepage there is a symbol which can be found on the buckler of a protagonist who is part of God of War II...

SCE Santa Monica stated they would not release a further God of War title directly with Kratos but there will likely be spinoffs or DLC. Since the protagonist wears the exact same symbol on his buckler in GoW II and this symbol can be found on the new homepage there is a good likelihood that he might be part of a new GoW title without Kratos. Just speculation tho but still very interesting ;)

There has been talk already of GoW III DLC.
So this is most likely what it will be.

If I remember right Stig Asmussen said that it would take some time from now before they will announce a spinoff or whatever for the series so that it doesnt burn out too fast. Clever decision tho.

Still... my prediction for a protagonist in a spinoff is the Spartan without a name (yet) from today on.

that symbol is a spartan symbol. I don't think it is a secret to anything. Kratos was a spartan so why not have a spartan logo on the 'spartansstandtall' site?
