Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which Console has the best Menu?

I have to say the 360's nxe, it's a easy design.

NXE is imo the best.

NXE for me, but I really like how slick the XMB is, it's just overcomplicated. The Wii menu is fine for me, as I have hardly any channels but if I had a lot I would have to spend forever looking through them for what I want.

Wii's menu is easily the best, its the only one of the 3 that allows you to customize where everything is.

Next being the PS3, everything is sorted into its sections and its really fast without clutter.

NXE being last because its like the PS3 menu mixed with the channels but it takes longer and has ads filling up the categories.

If the blades were still around I'd put it above the PS3 menu cause I really enjoyed the blades but sadly NXE was a requirement.

I like the Nintendo DS's. Everything I need is one click away =p

But out of the three home consoles I have to say the NXE. I'm not even sure what half the buttons on the Wii menu are >.>

Wii is the best. I have all my VC/WW games on a single SD card page. Every column is a different system (WW, NES, N64, Genesis in that order). Everything else is neatly ordered on the first internal memory page. 99% of the time I turn on the Wii I just quickly point/click and hit start.

The PS3 is fairly good, but not as easy. Yea, I can sort some stuff but I tend to lose things and there are more details always available then I really need. I'd love to be able to remove the Pictures menu and the settings menu shouldn't be part of the main bar. I'd love to be able to remove a lot of the icons I never use.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

The Wii easily has the most intuitive design. For that, I'd place it above the others.

The PS3's menu is very clean and sleek. Intuitive as everything is nicely organized. Has more control over aesthetics compared to Wii, but less(no) control over layout. Feels less cluttered than the 360.

I don't mind the 360's menu at all - in fact, I think it's great. However, I think it's a step behind the competition (2 steps in regards to the Wii).

I like the Wii's menu, but I've grown to hate the music. So I'd vote for the XMB. It never appeared complicated to me actually, the submenus are pretty clear.
Don't really like the NXE, it's got too many colours and ads and info I don't care about.

Well the XMB is more functional, especially outside of game and particularly for media playback, the 360 is cluttered and genrally messy, but still I feel it has a more 'welcoming' feel if that makes sense.

Overall gotta prefer the PS3s menus though. Compared to the PS3 the 360s UI just feels slow and clunky. Also I don't see how you can say it's complicated... seriously it's a lot more logical in design than the 360s.

I can't stand the annoying avatars on my Wii and 360. The 360 has very annoying adds and I just don't know how to operate it is well as my PS3.

The ps3 is simple to use and lacks annoying features of the other two.
Still must people just pick the console they play the most.
