Forums - Gaming Discussion - *This Gen Will Be My Last.*

This generation of consoles will probably be my last gen that I will be involved in. I say this because I am getting older and will no longer have the money to buy a new game console and all the games. If I do find enough money then I may still be apart of the next gen and continue to play games but as of now I don't see that happening. I will still be supporting this gen alot and I only have a Wii but that doesn't mean that the Wii will be my last console as I may buy a 360 in the future.(My brother has a P.S.3 so I may also start playing that along with the Wii at some point) When the next gen comes I will most likely be finding myself still playing the Wii or other current consoles.

I don't understand this, as i got older i had more and more money to spend on things.  When i was 15 $50 dollers for a game was a lot but now its nothing.  Unless you are going off to college i don't get it.  ARe you unemployed??

Same, got way more money to spend on games after school, and especially after college.  And it should be like that for everyone unless you're from a super welathy family that suddenly bankrupts and you're spoilt enough not to be able to get any kind of a job.

The rising costs, lack of interesting gameplay ideas, and lack of local multiplayer in many games made me go PC-only once before. Then the DS happened.

Good luck though. There are already enough good games this gen to last a lifetime, especially if you get into the Virtual Console and the new downloadable games on all 3 consoles.

Younger = More time, less money

Older = More money, less time

What? how do you know you wont have money in 4-5 yrs? Bigger fish to fry when you get older

I am a teen so I am going to college yes. I may buy game consoles later on but for the time I am in college/Just got out of college I don't see me playing NEW games but I will be playing my a Wii still for sure. I am NOT in college yet for thoughs who want to know. Also this gen has been so good that I may have enough great games to last me a LONG time anyway. I am just saying that I have about 32 Wii games and maybe 50 Gamecube so the money total is well over $3000.
