I'd really like to see the game improved so that it can support hundreds of soldiers in a battle. I know you can do this via a mod, but I'd like to see it without the frame rate dropping like a rock.

Warband's max setting is 150 soldiers.  For the first Mount and Blade game, there was a mod that allowed you to change the total number of soldiers to 1000, though I could only run it smoothly at 400 soldiers.

As I bolded, I know that. However, I'd really like it to be able to support high numbers and have the game still run well. Obvioulsy hardware plays a role in that, but I think the battles are so much cooler with so many soldiers (except for the seige battles of course).

Granted, I'd rather play with cheats and and give myself unlimited money and health just to take part in the largest battles possible.

Wow, the release data completely slipped under the radar for me. I loved the first one and all its mods... Too bad I won't have time to play it for a few weeks.

Super World Cup Fighter II: Championship 2010 Edition

I need this game. It's not just under Steam though, the multiplayer?

Can i buy this game boxed or is it a DD purchase only?

You dont have to cheat to take part in large battles.  If you become a vassal there regular battles involving several hundred soldiers when your country goes to war.  I know when I cheat at games, I end up not having to quit because I'm not having any fun.

Good to hear. And it being on Amazon means it's boxed then.

I will definately buy it soon.

Btw, do I need the original game for the multiplayer in Warband to work? (As in a CD-key, I only have a downloaded version of the original M&B lol)

Nope, Mount and Blade: Warband is a stand alone game.

Yea, but if you have a big army while being a vassal, you get an even bigger battle :P

It all depends on the game for cheating. Some games like Roller Coaster Tycoon, for example, are worth it because I couldn't care less about winning the scenarios and would rather just get unlimited funds and everything unlocked to just build and decorate a park how I want.
