Forums - Sony Discussion - Killzone 2 going 3D this “summer”

Need to know if DLP 3D tvs will work.

I mean all you need for a DLP 3D tv to work is a PC with a 3D video card plugged in via HDMI/DVI to run the Movie/Game you want to see in 3D, so I hope the PS3 update takes the place of the PC.

If thats the case, I golden!

It's cool but how can they support 3D with Killzone2 that already takes almost full advantage of the PS3 power? Doesnt it need to output the game with double the framerate (one for each eye) to create a 3D experience?

Even if it take use almost full advantage of the PS3 power, it can easily be tweaked and perfected. I highly doubt that Killzone 2 can't be made to run on only 50% of the ps3 power for example. Heck, even the people at Santa Monica said they only used 50% and their game arguably looks better and plays faster, smoother than Killzone 2.

Is 120 FPS really needed ? Ok it divides through 2 so its 60 per eye. But wouldnt 60 FPS be enough. 30 per eye ?

Killzone 2 in 3d I need this year a 3d TV definetly.

like when explosion happens would the debris and dust and rubbles come toward your face??

Dam!

Well GT5, Killzone 2, and LBP. Thats enough for me to justify. Now were do I sign up for interest free financing on one of these babies?

Side Note: Add Move support, and this would be the best FPS on the market.

This is gonna be epic ^^

May the adjustments be with you

I feel a disturbance in the sales

I hope that's true, though I can't help but wonder how the final result will be with the framerate...

3D is game would be so cool. Watched Alice in Wonderland yesterday and I defiantly going to buy 3D tv. Should be approx £1,800 in UK.

At the mo IM enjoying quasi 3D - BATMAN GOTY. Follow this link:

50% of the engines capabilities. Not the Ps3s.

Ok this is pretty sweet...However... Im not getting a 3D TV anytime soon lol.   I just got a 1080P HD tv and love it.. I don't think many people will take advantage of this 3D Killzone 2.

Maybe like 6 years from now tho.

“Absolutely, we can do much more with it. I don’t know if we are even close to 50 percent of PlayStation 3’s power at this point,” said Asmussen about God of War 3.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
