Still wasted potential IMO. They could make a seriously good HD RPG. |
When you make comments like that it makes the rest of your complaints seem rather unfounded, its like "WAH, I want THIS, but the truth of the matter is I can't get it so I'm gonna go complain on the internet!" seriously man, Wii or HD is just terms, they could make an excellent SNES game in 2012 if they wanted to, it just matters that it's a great game, not what system it's on.
Last year I bought about 20 Gameboy games and some SNES stuff, just yesterday I bought Secret of Evermore on SNES, it's a great game I never got to play, so now even in this "era of HD" I'm playing a game with a horrid resolution thats 2D and it still looks and plays great... even over ten years. Basically if you're complaining about a game cause its not all pretty you're not wanting the GAME to be a game, you're wanting the game to be a pretty spectical that's on a console you want to support with some weird loyalty, as if it mattered
OT: I personally haven't even had the chance to play one of the Xenosaga games, my friends are fans, they said the later ones weren't that great but they're looking forward to this one, and I'm gonna check it out and maybe buy some of the older games if I like this one.
MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"
Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

I hope by "later one" they mean Xenosaga: Epiosde 2 since Xenosaga: Episode 3 was nothing short of amazing.
New Xenoblade info straight from the website has come in. Here it is
"The inactive subsections of the "World" part of the site include "Kyojin and People," "Kishin Army," "Shinken Monado" (literally "God Sword Monado"), "City and Life" and "Screenshots."
The names alone provide some hints about Xenoblade. It looks like the Monado name carries on in the name of a sword. Additionally, you can see how some of the previously detailed background story will work into the game. The protagonists reside atop the Kyojin god, which is presumably why there is a section detailing Kyojin and the people. They fight the residents of the Kishin god -- the Kishin army, it seems."
Some real cool info right here.
Here is some new art work from Xenoblade

Its pretty amazing :)
the music on the website "BGM 1" is SO magnificent! it really feels like upgraded SNES RPGs music, really reminds me of Lufia for some reason :D
i hope it resembles those games somewhat, i'd like that very much :)
This game is looking pretty, but having played - I don't know if "played" is the right word, more like watched - Xenosaga, I fear this game will be a cutscene festival just like it.
I hope the Nintendo policy of few - and short - cutscenes prevails here.
First it was The Last Story and now I'm very interested in Xenoblade!
I've never played a Xeno series game but can someone confirm for me whether Xenoblade is a real time battle RPG or Turn based?
