I beat it 61 starts in about 8-10 hrs. Now the long haul of getting all 120.

But I must say the ending sequence is one of the best ever.

I thought the green star manta ray was tricky, and maybe the ball rolling one trickier, but there are much harder bits than those.

242 stars?....wth?....ok i haven't finished with Luigi yet but that would make 240 stars if you are counting each twice (Mario + Luigi)....which is the other star?

Oh. and bits i didn't like were the Manta ray bits...i would have liked them more i think if the ray could swim properly rather than just bouncing on the water, and i agree with you on a camera, I did think the camera worked better than SM64 but i like my camera control either not at all (game does it for you) or like windwaker where you can circle and stop it where you like...not sure that would have worked well on the spherical planets though as it would have just defeated the point of them, but maybe would have been nice for the flatter worlds.
Swimming i liked, I found it more frustrating underwater in SM64 than in Galaxy....though it was a bit tricky getting out of the water at first.

bits i liked....almost everything that i havent already said above....bouldergeist is possibly one of the best boss battles ever, and you get to do it a second time as a daredevil.

Yes. On the same file you can chose to play as Mario or Luigi. It sweet because it's like there are 12 files instead of 6. You get 120 with Mario, beat the game, get 120 with Luigi and beat Bowser. Then the Grand Finale Galaxy is opened to both Mario and Luigi and it only has 1 star. So you can get 121 stars with Mario and Luigi on the same file. and remember, the grand finale galaxy is only unlocked after beating bowser when you have 120 stars with Luigi.

Anyone agree with me that the luigi purple coin callenge in the toy galaxy was the most awesome and intense 3 minutes (or 2 i forget) of gaming ever!!!

 At this point I'll only agree that it's good that I always wear my wrist strap (otherwise I would have thrown my controller at the TV).
