I mean, the dude obviously is proud of his work, he shows his face for Pete's sake.

Take him to court over what exactly. He's done nothing illegal, no copyright infringement, no breaches of trademark. As far as I can see he's tinkered with a piece of electronic equipment he owns to see what he can do with it, and told other people about what he's managed to do.

More power to him I say. If he can find a way for people to retain other OS and not lose the functionality that would come with not updating to 3.21 then for the 12 people in the world for whom that will be a useful thing where exactly is the harm, and why are people so down on the guy?

The rate things are going PS4 will be out before anyone finds a way to economically commit piracy on the PS3, at which point there won't be much loss to the industry in the pirated PS3 games market.

this guy is such a douche. he acts as if this is totally sony's fault for being an evil corporation. they made a mistake in adding a feature that attracts hackers like shit attract flies but it is not a pill they (or more importantly devs) have to swallow. thanks for backing sony into a corner dipshit and them blaming them for punishing everyone.
