Forums - General Discussion - Need new anime and manga recommendations.

It's been ages since I've read a manga or watched an anime all the way through.

Here are the anime I've watched:

Afro Samurai

School Rumble (I want more episodes :()

Gurren Lagann (Best ever)

Deathnote

Shin Chan

Gunslinger Girl

I haven't read much manga either. Any recommendations my only criteria are no more 50 or so episodes for anime or 30 manga volumes.

What genres do you prefer? (action, comedy, mecha, slice of life, drama, etc)

Everyone is about to jump into your thread pushing their favorite anime on you so be ready.

I guess all of the above except mech (I know the irony seeing as I love Gurren Lagann)

Well then let's go with a few non-mecha classics:

Genshiken - An anime about an anime club filled with Otaku.

Last Exile - Two young messengers live in a world filled with airships and wars.

Love Hina - Classic "harem" anime along with Tenchi Muyo.  Love Hina manga > anime.

Gate Keepers - An intentionally silly and exciting magical/super power show.

Higurashi no naku koro ni - Mystery/horror.  Interesting but some parts are gruesome.

Outlaw Star - Classic space adventure that's also mecha-less (also see Cowboy Bebop).

Fate/Stay Night - Battle/magical being anime

That's anime from several genres.  Do any of those interest you?

Cool I think I'm going to watch the first two along with Monster.

What about manga?

I'll let someone else recommend manga.  I've seen 300+ anime but only read 6 manga.

I suggest Needless if you liked Gurren though be warned it will push some limits...It's hard to explain I will show you Opening is more of what the show is about ending...is some comedy the show goes for...It doesn't go that far in ways yet it does...I personally love it since it makes fun of itself and all animes...

Former something....

Needless is very meh. The main character is just boring, why aren't we following the priest all the time?

How about Code Geass if you loved Death Note and probably Monster (have fun with that one, seriously good)? Cowboy Bebop is not bad either, though there isn't much going on until the last episodes. Finally, one of my absolute favorite anime is Trigun, check it out.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

Code Geass.

As for manga, I only read super long mangas like Ruroni Kenshin.

The rest of the mangas are read are Shojo mangas.

For anime: Cowboy Bebop, its the best.
For manga: Trigun Maximum.
