It doesn't matter when you get the data, it's what time frame the data is dependent on. Most likely the data is dependent on 2009 numbers. For a majority of the year the 360 was expanding it's lead until the slim release and even then the software sales trends tend to trail behind the hardware trends. The change in tide of more people buying PS3 hardware wont translate into more people buying PS3 software until later in a snowball effect. As for PSN games, when it takes many months at the least for a game to be developed, most of the games that have come out were decided way back when the PS3 was getting it's but kicked in sales. That doesn't mean that developers this year will be equally as hesitant to develop for the PS3/PSN as they were in the past.
