Forums - Gaming Discussion - Wii's true untapped mass market potential (not what you think at all)

I just had an interesting gameplay idea for Wii.  I think it would only sell in Japan...but I'll let you all debate this.  Keep an open mind...and keep it civil...I sure as hell don't want to get banned for this

Imagine a dating game based on interactive hentai...think of the mass appeal of the system - it sells to both sexes, the shape of the controller, the rumble features...potential downloadable content...

At first I thought this was not feasible...but then I was reminded of the 'attachment' for Rez featured on that women's gaming website a while back...

Nintendo would never release this...but we all have seen the controversy of GTA (and the sales, great reviews) in the west...imagine if some niche 3rd party released "Wii Sex" for women - especially since it could be four player...

Combine that with the excercise craze and news/weather features..Wii could replace TV almost...

 NO.

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

I think it will be done no matter how silly it is.

There are games on the DS like this already...I dug up the sales figures - pretty high

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

LOL, I think this idea more accurately belongs in the "Ideas that could kill the Wii" thread ;)

Imagine the press if this came out - Nintendo would be hammered into a pulp!

...

Now an online, chat/dating application... now that could be cute.

I remember there being several dating games on the Dreamcast over in Japan and I do not see how this would hurt Nintendo in any way.

Uh, no.  Leave those to PC's.

And it's not Wii's untapped mass market potential.  It applies to any console.

the Wii is an epidemic.

ps3 is more apt to get this sort of program.

think "home" ..with apartments, rooms with TV's streaming anything you upload-including porn- etc.

While you don't think they'd make this check out Cubed3.com there is a news article called "Touching Cute Girls" it seems there is a game for the ds where you apperantly use the touch feature to uhh....touch girls...

EDIT: Okay it's called DokiDoki Majo apperantly your looking for Sorccesors or something and this at some point requires you to touch girls.(leave it to the japanese...)

The Wii and its uniquely shaped controller has already been shown in this fashion:

I honestly don't care for a Wii 'Date' program, but I'm sure it could fill a, um, niche.
