Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The VGC Official Monster Hunter Tri Thread

JSKI Monster Hunters are like PSO games and diablo games, they just release the next game with more stuff.

The next Tri will probably have more weps and monsters and slightly adjust fields maybe even a new field all together and usually more stuff to do in the village/town.

Hmm, okay, I'm just trying to remember how it was done in D2, the guild I was in back then used a similar method.

The teams are intended to be based around the teams best times to play the game.

In other words. Guys who would normally be on, on mondays at the same time would be on the same team.

Not going to push this though, if you have a better solution then go ahead.

I see what you're saying.  I guess that could work, but we'll have to get the word out for it to happen.

Okay cool, I'll still need 3 or 4 volunteers for team leaders, then I can move on. Again there are other requirements that I'll make clear once this is on the ground.

I would think that NoName's system works well enough, his only problem being publicizing the meetup locales, and managing overflow. Designating multiple team captains could balance it out, such that if we get 12 people committed to this, the 3 Captains would not be "allowed" to play together. Not that they would be leaders per se, but that NoName, for instance, would always go to City 11 in a given gate, dib8erman to 12, and Routs to 13, and people would just choose to go to one of the populated cities

That way we would only need real responsibility from 1/4th of those signed up, that they would be the city creators. The rest would be free to come or go as they pleased between the cities.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Ey guys, I need some advise. This is not related to online mode. I am fighting against the Lagiacrus to repel him out of the island. When I fight him on earth there is no problem but inside the water it is terrible. He always catches me and kills me in a few seconds. I am using the heavy crossbow to shoot him from a long distant.
What did you do to defeat that monster?

Count me in.  I assume you'll be one too, right?

The best piece of advice I can give you is to fight the Royal Ludroth underwater: they have exactly the same attacks and animations, except that Lagiacrus is bigger+faster, can electrify himself, and sometimes does two breath/charge attacks.  But if you can take down the Ludroth easily, you'll have no problems with Lagiacrus.

Oh, and if his speed if the problem, try limiting yourself to just one or two shots before dodging.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
