Close to getting fulll lagi + gear but i see nothing about free element am i reading awalking wrong or is there something i do not understand about it?

When you're pinned, I've noticed that by struggling, (rotating the analog stick in a clockwise direction), you can drastically speed up the amount of time you get held down.

Free element points and the subsequent Awaken skill are exclusive to Lagiacrus+ Armor, not the low rank one.

i'm a PAL player too, cant do tonight or tommorow night because of exams :( will you guys be free wednesday night?

Wednesday will be questionable. I have to rule out anything before 22:00 GMT on that day, not even sure if I'll be back home by that time.

Your armor is fine, can't say much about your weapon because I've rarely used longswords, but it should be sufficient. I guess EZ bomb is the item that makes enemies dizzy which makes it possible (but not guaranteed) that they act slower at times. When you get eaten, shake the Wiimote as fast as possible. This also helps against other bad status effects like dizziness, but not sleep, paralysis or poison. If you play with the classic controller then you probably have to trigger one of the attack buttons to recover faster which in Rathian's case prevents you from getting poisoned.

I've never actually seen Rathian defeated, either offline or on. It's gotten to be superstitious. Any group i'm with, no matter how good otherwise, seems to fall to pieces against Rathian, and we'll fail whether it's my fault or not.

 

Offline, it's nightmarish. There is no safe way to attack her, and there is no weapon set that can hit more than iher legs (or if there is i haven't found it or unlocked it), unless you're suicidal enough to stand in front of her.

If you have some decent experience gunning... You can solo both of them... It will take forever but I've finished double trouble with both of them still up. Rathian was missing a tail and her head was damaged, and rathalos was virtually untouched.

Its a matter of safety. Certainly there are weapons that can hit that high, but not in a way that's going to leave me open to a counter-charge, which is the one attack of hers that breaks any of my strategies. Otherwise i'd be fine, as i learned how to deal with tail swipes from Barroth, her flippy tail thing is a non-issue from the angle i attack from, but that random counter-charge gets me every time. Also the fact that i have to be square in front of her legs, otherwise she does damage just by walking around.
